We are living in a world that moves so fast, we often lose track of the days. Health experts encourage us to implement self-care into our routines, but who really has time for self care? When presented with that question, I am reminded of the concept of “people make time for what they want to make time for.” Consider your inner core, it needs to be strong and healthy in order for you to properly function. If you make time for what is important to you, you have to know you are important to you.
Implementing self-care doesn’t require a stimulus check, child tax credit, or any other incentive from the government. It requires you realizing that if you don’t take care of you, no one else will. This can mean taking a nap during the day to get additional rest, selecting a day to just focus on you, or indulging in a dessert that you love. It can also mean you go get a body massage or pedicure or even take a walk to clear your head.
Your inner core needs care that only you can provide sometimes. Take time to show you that you are worth making the time!
