A Champaign man, 18, is hospitalized and in critical condition following a shooting in northwest Champaign on Wednesday. Police were called to the Garden Hills subdivision at 5:15 p.m., where shots were fired. The man had reportedly been shot by someone in a passing vehicle. The shooter fled the scene.
Police say the suspect was in a black Lincoln, which was later recovered, however, it is still unclear how many people occupied the car or where it was found.
